What should this blog be?
So I'm pretty sure almost nobody has seen the blog yet (I've only had it for about 24 hours now), but when someone starts to read this, let me know what you would like to see in a blog. What would you enjoy reading/seeing? What can I put in this blog that will keep you coming back for more? Comment and let me know. I think this can be fun. So far, all I have planned is posting my youtube obsessions and stuff along with every now and then posting a video blog of stuff I'm doing this summer (and maybe beyond). So yeah, I hope people will want to read this.

Now for an actual blog post about me
Hello! So now that I've put up most of my current obsessions, maybe I'll write a little about myself and my life. I'm not quite sure what to write, so I'll just keep typing until this looks like a decent blog post. So I was born on September 12, 1989. I had a good life, I think. I have a pretty goofy family. Oh!! I can post pictures on this blog thingy!

So that is my immediate family and my dad's sister's family. This is what we do on Christmas Day. We find an excuse to wear funny hats and take pictures. That was Christmas 2006. What did we do Christmas 2007 you ask? Well, let me show you! No, not a picture. This is a video.
The Von Bill Family Singers - The Lonely Goatherd
We found that split screen effect on the video camera, so all we needed to do was hook it up to the TV so we can see ourselves, and once the music started, we were occupied until we all ran out of energy. We played with that for a total of 10 hours. We did four hours on Christmas Day, and then six hours a few days later at our big family Christmas party. We took plenty of videos. If you want to see more, look here. So yeah, my family is pretty weird. But that's okay. I like it.
In case you haven't guessed, I am very into musical theatre. And yes, it's theatre and not theater!! I've seen a few shows. I try to increase that list as much as I can. Don't ask me for my favorite. I can't choose. I currently have just about three full days worth of Broadway showtunes on my iPod. And it keeps growing. Yay Broadway!
Hmmm... what else? I play the saxophone and piano. That is another big part of my life (other than Broadway). Most of my best friends were friends I made in middle school through band. I had a close group of friends that all joined marching band together. I love marching band. I was the saxophone section leader (saxtionleader) my sophomore year of high school, and I worked my way up to drum major my senior year. For those of you who are not band geeks, the drum major is the one who conducts in the front of the band and leads them in parades and stuff like that. Want to see my show from senior year of high school? I don't care. I'm showing you anyway. We did songs from the Broadway show, Wicked.
Union-Endicott NYSFBC Championship Show 2006 - Wicked
I'm the drum major in the middle at the beginning (the one blowing the whistle). They say my name (Eric Bill) in the beginning. That was a lot of fun. Kind of a cool coincidence: at the end of that video, the announcer gives a congratulations from the Thunder of the East Marching Band from the University at Buffalo. And that's exactly where I would go for college the next year. That is where I currently go to school. It is the only SUNY school (New York State college) with a marching band, and since SUNY schools are much cheaper for people residing in New York State, that is where I went. Through much hard work last year, I was able to get saxtionleader for next year. I'm really excited to lead the saxophone section.
I also was a lead role (but never the lead role) in all of my high school musical productions. I really hate watching myself in them. I thought it was so much better than it actually was when I did them. I made a bunch of friends doing that, too. Ummm... I guess I can post a video of that... Well, I'll post one later. I was told I can't show people the video I was going to post, so maybe I'll upload one soon. Yeah, that will come later.
I love funny sounding words. If you have ever heard the Bulbous Bouffant skit, you know a lot of my favorite words. I plan on making a video of it this summer, so I'll post it here when it's made. My old favorite word was 'gubernatorial', but now I really like the name, 'Lake Titicaca'. They make me laugh. This entry is now getting quite long, so I will stop typing for now. Hopefully you know a little more about me, though.

Cubby Bernstein
So I was going to only do like one of these a day, but I can't wait, so I'm going to let you in on Cubby Bernstein. These videos are so funny! They make me want Xanadu to win the Tony for Best Musical. Cubby is a Tony campaign manager trying to get Xanadu to win the Tony. He's been responsible for 63 Tony wins to date. You can watch all of his videos on his website or on his youtube channel. Here are some Cubby videos:
Introducing Cubby Bernstein
Cubby Bernstein - Episode 1
Enjoy!! It's great! Episode 6 is my favorite so far. Have fun!

The Battery's Down
The Battery's Down is a new online television series about the life of young actor, Jake Wilson, in New York City. I love it. New episodes are posted on the first of every month, and outtakes are posted on the 15th of every month. If you've never seen it, definitely check it out. You can watch the episodes (along with download the songs from the episodes and more) at The Battery's Down website or you can check out The Battery's Down youtube channel. Every episode features a fully recorded, produced, choreographed, and staged musical number. It's amazing. I'll post the first episode here.

The Battery's Down - "The Big Apple" Episode 1 Part 1
Enjoy!! This is a great show. I'm addicted. I look forward to the first of each month to see what is next to come. I usually stay up until midnight the night before just to watch it as soon as it is posted. They have some amazing guest stars from Broadway, so if you're as into it as I am, I know you'll love it!

Andrew's Blog
So I should probably start with what inspired me to create this blog.
Andrew Keenan-Bolger's Blog
That is Andrew's Blog. Click on his picture. You'll get to the blog. I was lucky enough to see Andrew Keenan-Bolger in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee when that show came to Buffalo. The show was great! After seeing him, I friended him on Facebook and checked out his blog. He has a lot of amazing things on there. A lot of the videos I post will be the same videos he posts, but that's okay. Once you get to know Andrew Keenan-Bolger and his friends, the blogs and vlogs are great. I guess I'll post my favorite Andrew's Blog video here.
Andrew's Blog (The Slice of Life One)
The girl in the video, Vanessa Ray, played Olive in Spelling Bee when I saw it. But really, you should look through his blog. There's a lot of great stuff in there! I read every entry and watched all of the videos all the way through about a month ago... it was a fun time. So yeah, you should definitely check it out. That's all for now. I'll post another obsession in a little bit.
